The Transport Canada Level 1 Complex Operations and Advanced License ground school covers all the fundamental knowledge requirements for advanced or BVLOS operations. The Pilot Training equips industry professionals with skills in aerial navigation, data acquisition, and regulatory compliance for complex commercial operations. Goals- enhances safety, precision, and efficiency.
We also conduct Flight Reviews for both Level 1 Complex Operations and Advanced operations. This are the final hurdle before we submit your information to Transport Canada for certification.

Level 1 Complex Operations Training
Upgrade your Drone/ RPAS qualifications based on the brand new Transport Canada regulations with our comprehensive Level 1 Complex Operations ground school and flight reviews.
Please note that the Ground School and Full Service Implementation is aimed at clients who require on site training at their own facilities. We are based in Calgary but we are available to train crews in all provinces.
The Level 1 Complex training course fulfills the 20 hours of ground school requirement as per the new Transport Canada regulations. This certification is mandatory for those flying drones in complex environments or conducting BVLOS operations in low density population areas, allowing them to expand their operations in the growing drone industry.
Your in‑person flight review is the final step toward becoming a certified Level 1 Complex Operations pilot. You will be expected to present a complete mission plan for a specific scenario provided by the reviewers. During the evaluation session you’ll fly a series of realistic mission profiles, all designed to test your judgment, risk mitigation, and mastery of Transport Canada’s detect-and-avoid requirements.
The review is conducted by a Transport Canada–certified flight reviewer.
